Allow time after landing
International arrivals pass through passport control, baggage claim and biosecurity checks before reaching the arrivals hall, and that can take a while on busy mornings. Don't book a Hobbiton tour too soon after your scheduled landing time.

The route
From the airport the road joins SH1 south through Bombay and Pōkeno, down the Waikato Expressway past Huntly and Hamilton, then east to Matamata. Our Auckland Airport to Hobbiton page shows the live drive time and fare.
Arrive with your bags
